Get paid: payouts setup

Entry fees go directly to your own Stripe account — not through ShowHive. ShowHive takes 0% of your gate.

One-time setup

1. Go to Profile → Payouts and tap Set up payouts.
2. You'll be taken to Stripe's guided onboarding (identity + bank details — Stripe requires this by law; ShowHive never sees these details).
3. When Stripe confirms your account, the app shows Payouts active.

A paid event can't open registration until payouts are active — this protects you from collecting money you can't receive.

Fees

Stripe charges standard card processing (typically 2.9% + 30¢). You can optionally pass this through to entrants as a disclosed card surcharge — toggle it in the event's payment settings. With pass-through on, a $30 entry costs the entrant about $31.21 and you net the full $30.

Refunds

You're the merchant of record: issue full or partial refunds from your Stripe dashboard any time.
